This newly acquired blog is about my life and what I'm up to lately. I intended to start off this year by losing a few pounds and getting back in shape. I even found a Planet Fitness gym nearby and joined. I was all excited about it. Well, you know what they say about good intentions. Unfortunately nothing ever happened. I ended up going on a little vacation with a few of my friends to start of the year. It was really fun but it wasn't good for my resolutions. We kind of partied and ate/drank whatever we wanted to. Not long after we returned I ended up needing to travel for a business trip. Again, the trip itself wasn't back. I'm blessed to have a great job and the trip turned out to be really good for my career. But it wasn't good for my body. When you put all this together you can kind of see what happened: I lost any kind of psychological momentum or motivation that I had. That money that I spent joining the gym has kind of gone to waste so far. But now I'm trying to get back on track and I have decided to make up for lost time. I'm going on kind a fast diet that is supposed to help me drop a few pounds within two weeks. I know it sounds a little weird, but I read over the review and it makes perfect sense. Keep in mind that I was a bit of a health nut a few years ago so I do know what works and what doesn't (I just haven't done a good job in applying what I know). So I'll make up for the pounds I should have lost over the past few months. After that I'll be getting into more of a "maintenance" kind of diet where I just go to the gym and cut back on some of the junk. I'm pretty sure this plan will work out for me. |
